Swallow Safe Patient Services
Our Patient Services range from simply having a conversation about what may or may not be going on with your symptoms, getting a second opinion, or requesting a full evaluation and treatment plan in person (where available) or via teletherapy. With many options, it is the goal to be able to help the patient no matter where in the rehabilitation process they are, whether a long-time sufferer with a progressive situation, or a newly diagnosed or undiagnosed issue.

Submit your assessment information to our Swallow Safe Specialists to schedule your free 10 minute consultation. The Team Member can guide you on which of the following options may best fit your needs based on whether your risk is minimal, moderate, or high.

30 Minute Consultation (T)
with a Swallow Safe Team SLP Specialist to review your symptoms and diagnostic profile in order to determine next steps.
This would be appropriate if you are unsure whether there is something that can be done for the issues you are experiencing and wish to consult a Speech Pathology Swallowing Expert for ideas, tips, research articles, or other suggestions.
Additional minutes for the consultation are billed in 15 minute units: $25.00 Each Unit

60 Minute Initial Speech/Language/Dysphagia Evaluation (T) with a Swallow Safe SLP Specialist for your Speech/Language/Dysphagia Evaluation.
This would be appropriate if you have decided you wish to pursue remediation for your swallowing issues. This session may be appropriate for insurance submission for your diagnostic session. Your insurance information will be gathered, and an approval will be secured prior to your session. Your estimated remaining costs, if any, will be provided prior to your session so that you can make an informed decision.

60 Minute Swallowing Instrumentation Utilizing FEES (IP)
(Fiberoptic Endoscopic Evaluation of Swallowing) with a Swallow Safe Team SLP Specialist for your Swallowing Test (Dysphagia Instrumentation) if it has been recommended following your Speech/Language/Dysphagia Evaluation.
This would be appropriate if you have decided you wish to pursue remediation for your swallowing issues and it has been determined to be medically necessary. This session may be appropriate for insurance submission for your diagnostic session. Your insurance information will be gathered, and an approval will be secured prior to your session. Your estimated remaining costs will be provided prior to your session.

60 Minute Cognitive Evaluation when Medically Necessary by Medical Diagnosis (T or IP depending on living situation) with a Swallow Safe SLP Specialist.
This would be appropriate if it has been determined that you need to be in charge of your own safety in your living setting AND you have reported or suspected of having a cognitive decline, whether mild or more advanced. This session may be appropriate for insurance submission for your diagnostic session. Your insurance information will be gathered, and an approval will be secured prior to your session. Your estimated remaining costs will be provided prior to your session.

30 Minute Therapy Session with a Speech Pathology Specialist. (T or IP depending on location)
This will be scheduled only after all appropriate diagnostic profiles have been completed and medical necessity for therapy has been established and discussed with the patient and/or caregiver. Spouse or Caregiver may be asked to attend. This session may be appropriate for insurance submission for your diagnostic session. Your insurance information will be gathered, and an approval will be secured prior to your session. Your estimated remaining costs will be provided prior to your session.

45 Minute Non-Therapeutic Consultation with a Speech Language Pathologist to determine what can be accomplished in the absence of formal therapy (T)
This patient normally will have seen a Speech Pathologist in another setting and may or may not have been discharged from therapy, yet symptoms remain. You will be requested to supply a ‘patient information packet’ prior to your consultation.

This would be appropriate for those patients already in therapy and looking for a second opinion (T) as to what has been diagnosed or recommended. You will be requested to supply a ‘patient
