Swallow Safe Services

What We Do

There is a need for patients and caregivers to be able to be in charge of their own care, have an understanding of what is happening to them, and expect to be able to achieve a reasonable outcome that fits within their life. This is not always as easy as it seems, as information can be inaccurate, scattered, incomplete, or based on unreasonable expectations. Often, if not most of the time, the role of the caregiver is not considered as part of the equation. In addition, the stress and immense responsibility thrust upon the spouse, sibling, aide, friend, or whomever has accepted the task of helping the patient through this health situation, needs support themselves.

SwallowSafe.com has compiled information that matters to you. Attempting to fill in the gaps and answer your questions in a way that is meaningful to you, SwallowSafe.com offers a growing list of services and videos that will fit your specific needs and budget. Not everyone can afford to see a specialist, have adequate insurance coverage, or have access to the Swallow Safe Dysphagia Specialists in their geographical area. We now make it possible for you to get the services you deserve, no matter where you reside in the world. Look through the options for patient services and caregiver services, and if you don’t see what you need, contact us, and let us know. Our selections are growing monthly!

Patient Services

The services that are being offered range from simply having a conversation about what may or may not be going on with your symptoms, getting a second opinion, or requesting a full evaluation and treatment plan in person where available, or via teletherapy. With many options, it is the goal to be able to help the patient no matter where in the rehabilitation process they are, whether a long-time sufferer with a progressive situation or a newly diagnosed or undiagnosed issue.

Caregiver Services

The caregiver assumes a lot of responsibility. Caregiver support in understanding the issues and what to expect during and following treatment is vital to not only patient success, but caregiver mental and physical health. There are a variety of options for a one-to-one conversation with a specialist, videos on how to incorporate these changes into an active and healthy lifestyle, and tricks and techniques to operationalize dysphagia management into everyday life and even travel!
